My name is Christopher Gaunt, and I was born in Springfield, Missouri. I have a wonderful family (wife, son, and two dogs) that help me strive for greater things. I started my IT journey in high school, where I dabbled in website building and computer assembly. However, my real journey began when I joined the United States Air Force (USAF) as a cable and antenna operations technician.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Having a solid understanding of your home network setup can significantly improve your ability to troubleshoot, secure, and optimize larger networks. At its core, a home network is a smaller-scale representation of what you\u2019d see in enterprise or organizational settings, allowing you to understand foundational network principles that can be applied to more complex environments. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\u00a0Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)<\/strong>\u00a0certification was a key milestone in my networking journey. To prepare for the exam, I extensively used\u00a0Packet Tracer<\/strong>\u00a0to simulate network configurations, practice troubleshooting, and build virtual networks. This tool allowed me to experiment with concepts like routing, switching, and VLANs without needing physical hardware. Additionally, I took advantage of the\u00a0Udemy<\/strong>\u00a0platform, where I followed structured courses that provided in-depth lessons, real-world scenarios, and hands-on labs. Additionally, I used boson for their in-depth practice questions<\/strong>. All of these things combined is what led to my success. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
